Abstract:Background: Hyponatremia is associated with adverse outcomes in heart failure and after cardiac surgery. We hypothesized that hyponatremia is associated with poorer short-term and longer term survival in patients after continuous-flow left ventricular assist device (CF-LVAD) placement.
