Abstract:Biochar is widely used for environmental and agricultural purposes due to its positive effect on soil fertility, immobilization of pollutants and sequestration of carbon. This research produced biochar from plant waste (palm fronds PFB) and animal waste (sheep manure SMB) at different pyrolysis temperatures (300 and 700 °C) and compared their physicochemical properties. The results showed the biochars produced at a low temperature (300 °C) had higher yield. However, the increasing pyrolysis temperature led to … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
