Abstract:The influence of acid hydrolysis conditions on cellulose nanowhiskers (CNW) made from moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis) was investigated in this study. Procedures with or without an alcohol–toluene extraction were tested using different acid concentrations and hydrolysis durations.
