Preparation and Characterization of Nano silica Prepared by Different Precipitation Methods

Abstract: Agricultural waste Rice husk ash (RHA) is large and massive by the output of rice milling manufacture and contains a high amount of silica. Taking into account this verdant technology is utilized to get SiO2 Nanoparticles from rice shell ash. In this research, studies on the extraction methods of Nano-silica by combustion rice shell for 2 h at 700 °C were carried out and investigated. However, the Rice shell ash was undergoing to precipitation methods and sol gel method to manufacture Nano silica. precipitatio… Show more

“…The finding reveals the chemical compositions of nanosilica product. The spectrum shows a broad and more intensive band at 1087.85 cm -¹ , which is typical of the Si-O-Si asymmetric stretching vibration, in agreement with[12][23][25][26][27]. This band is less intense, but on the other side of the package, for the range 470.63 cm -¹ -802.39cm -¹ , which is due to symmetric stretching vibrations (Si-O-Si), these are the distinctive solid lines of silica, and these are in agreement with[13][20][21][25] .…”

“…Nanosilica also gained popularity due to its highly reactive surface area [11], physical and chemical stability, and low toxicity [12]. In addition, silica nanoparticles (SNPs) have a large surface area and a small diameter, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, such as electronics and photonics, and energy harvesting and storage.…”

“…Out of the above-mentioned fabrication methods, the sol-gel process is a superior method that can be followed for preparing superior-quality, narrow-size-distributed, spherical nanoparticles. In addition, nano-SiO2 can be prepared by grinding rice husk ash finely to develop nanomaterials [75]. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are also commonly used for concrete application, and the tensile strength of CNT is almost 100 times higher than that of steel with a similar diameter.…”

“…Based on several previous studies, the synthesis of nano silica has been widely studied using raw materials or precursor solutions, such as TEOS (tetraethyl orthosilicate), rice husks, and silica sand [13]- [15]. Raw materials that can be employed to synthesize nano silica must contain high silica.…”
