Preparation and Characterization of Self-Emulsified Docetaxel

Abstract: The aim of this paper was to prepare a self-microemulsifying docetaxel (Dtx) using PLGA, Tetraglycol, Labrasol, and Cremophor ELP. The prepared Dtx-loaded self-microemulsifying system (SMES) showed the initial size of the range of 80-100 nm with narrow size distribution and the negative zeta-potential values. Its morphology was a spherical shape by atomic force microscopy. In experiment of stability, Dtx-loaded SMES prepared in DW and BSA condition showed good stability at 37 • C for 7 days. The viability of t… Show more

“…Зокрема це: утримання вологи у грунтах, доставка ліків, пов'язки на ранах, які забезпечують абсорбцію, послаблення та знищення некротичної та фібротичної тканини. Також такі гідрогелеві композити можуть бути використані при одержанні гідрогелевих пов'язок та медичних імплантатів [7][8].…”

“…PLGA-based nanoparticles present high-grade recognition by the reticuloendothelial system of the liver and spleen that remove them from the circulation and reduce the residence time of nanoparticles in the bloodstream drastically, thus avoiding delivery of nanoparticles to selected organs or tumors. PLGA-based nanoparticles are prepared by solvent displacement techniques and/or salting-out techniques, and range in size from 150 -240 nm [28] [29].…”

“…Paclitaxel is widely used as an anticancer drug, especially being recognized for its effects on breast cancer and ovarian cancer [57][58][59]. Paclitaxel encourages the polymerization of tubulin which has an important influence on the cell proliferation process, in turn abnormally stabilizing microtubule and rendering it dysfunctional to suppress cell proliferation.…”
