“…The shape memory and self-healing effects of any polymeric blend can be influenced by their phase morphological structure, which refers to the arrangement and distribution of the different polymeric phases within the blend. For a typical polymeric blend phase morphology can affect the shape memory effect as well as self-healing via phase distribution, interfacial interactions, phase transition temperature, phase compatibility, and phase continuity. , The TEM images of the 50/50TPU-ENR blends show a kind of cocontinuous morphology (Figure a) which could originate the inherent shape memory effect.
