Preparation and Crystal Structure of MnBiSe2I.

Abstract: Abstract. Black single crystals of MnBiSe 2 I were obtained by the reaction of stoichiometric amounts of Mn, Bi, BiI 3 , and Se at 600°C for 7 days. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/m, with a ϭ 13.428(2), b ϭ 4.112(1), c ϭ 10.130(2) Å , β ϭ 90.97(2)°, and Z ϭ 4.
