“…Therefore, LATP is obtained as a pellet with very high purity. In the literature, AlPO 4 is very commonly observed, even as traces, in the XRD patterns [24,26,27]. Its action as a resistive layer is well-known and deleterious to ionic conductivity [28].…”

“…The aqueous solution based method was developed for LATP and LAGP solid electrolytes, [51,79,[81][82][83] with the aim of reducing the cost of organic solvents and sintering temperatures, to achievem ore uniform particle size distribution and smaller averagep article size. However,b othc hemicalp recursors and heat-treatment temperatures need to be carefully selectedt o achieveapure phase and prevent secondary impurities.…”

With purified water as as olvent, Jin and Nan et al [81] prepared Li 1.3 Al 0.3 Ti 1.7 (PO 4 ) 3 powders through as imple solution method, and found that the LATP sample sintered at 800 8Cf or 12 he xhibited the highest total ionic conductivity of 1.21 10 À3 Scm À1 at 25 8C. “…An impurity free LATP phase was obtained as evidenced from the XRD patterns of LATP−Si at 650 °C exhibiting a NASICON structured phase indexed with hexagonal setting of the rhombohedra space group (S.G. R‐3c ) except for the presence of trace amounts of AlPO 4 . The samples were not post processed to remove AlPO 4 since it well versed in the previous literature that it can be a source for space‐charge mediation forming an AlPO 4 :Li + complex which would support the migration of Li ions . XRD patterns of pristine LATP along with LATP−Si for comparison are given in the Supplementary Information‐I ( SI‐II ).…”
