Preparation of Bismuth Oxide Thin Films by Spray Pyrolysis Method and Its Characterizations

Abstract: The Bi2O3 thin films were prepared onto glass substrates by spray pyrolysis method. The Bi2O3 thin films optimized at 320 °C spray pyrolysis temperature. The crystal structure, crystallite size, and surface morphology of Bi2O3 thin films were studied by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques, respectively. The X‐ray diffraction pattern of Bi2O3 thin films show polycrystalline in nature. The SEM images show porous morphology of Bi2O3 thin films. The optical absorption spectra … Show more

“…4 describes the crystal and/or amorphous compositions of the starting primary materials (bismuth nitrate, PVP, and nystatin) and the synthesized Bi 2 O 3 NPs. It must be noted that the XRD results for bismuth nitrate represent the crystal construction, 38 as shown in Fig. 4B, and the 2q at 10.96 and 21.10 were similar to the amorphous type of PVP (Fig.…”

“…The crystallite size ( D ) of ZnFe 2 O 4 was determined by the Scherrer's equation [ 24 ] D=0.9λβcosθwhere λ is the wavelength of X‐ray used (1.54 Å), β the full width at half maxima (FWHM) of maximum intensity peak, and θ is the Bragg angle. The crystallite size is found to be ≈19 nm corresponding to (311) plane.…”
