In this context, metal oxides and metal oxide-based photocatalysts are being studied extensively for the removal of toxins due to their tunable morphological, structural, optical and photocatalytic properties ( Mathiarasu et al, 2021 ; Hannachi et al, 2022a ; Maqbool et al, 2022 ).
