Preparation of Chloro Penta Amine Cobalt(III) Chloride and Study of Its Influence on the Structural and Some Optical Properties of Polyvinyl Acetate

Abstract: Chloro penta amine cobalt(III) cloride [Co(NH3)5Cl]Cl2was prepared and then characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The obtained results indicated the formation of orthorhombic [Co(NH3)5Cl]Cl2nanoparticles of ≈28.75 nm size. Polymeric films based on polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) doped with chloro penta amine cobalt(III) cloride [Co(NH3)5Cl]Cl2in different weight percent ratios were prepared using the solvent cast technique. The complexation of the additive with the polymer wa… Show more

“…Figure 9 As shown in the figures, the real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant of polystyrene are changed with the wavelength, this is due to the real part of dielectric constant depending on refractive index because the effect of extinction coefficient is very small and the imaginary part of dielectric constant depends on extinction coefficient especially in the visible and near infrared regions of wavelength where the refractive index is approximately constant while extinction coefficient increases with the increase of the wavelength. This behavior is consistent with the results of researchers [40,41].…”

“…The results indicate that the MgO nanoparticles tended to form aggregates and good dispersed at (PAA-CMC-MgO) nanocomposites films as shown in the Figure 1 (B,C,D and E). When adding 6 wt.% of MgO nanoparticles to (PAA-CMC) composites, it form a continuous network inside the polymer [10], [11].…”

“…4a, from which it can be understood that many sharp peaks are attributed for the crystalline nature of synthesized MOIF where it shows diffraction peaks at 15.83, 18.85, 22.48, 23.24 corresponding to the cubic structure [29, 30]. In powder XRD pattern the below 10 degree of 2 theta values may be attributed for organic part in MSIN while more than this shows the crystalline nature of the MOIF [29]. Table 2 shows the the lattice parameters calculated using following equations (see Fig.…”

“…8). Generally, the hypochromic effect tells that binding nature of compound while a hyperchromic effect reveals the unfolding of bio-molecules [29, 30, 31, 32]. It inferred that the structure of MOIF is attributed for the binding with BSA.…”
