“…The peaks corresponding to the 2θ values of 38°, 44.47°, 64.5° and 77.6° were assigned to the (1 1 1), (2 0 0), (2 2 0) and (3 1 1) planes of silver with a face‐centred cubic (fcc) structure, respectively . The broad nature of diffraction peaks of Ag indicated that the silver is in nano form . Therefore, the XRD spectra strongly indicated the formation of BRG−Ag nanocomposite in our betel leaf extract reduction method.…”

“…The D band can be attributed to the defects at edges and appeared at 1350 cm −1 , the G band arises from the zone centre E 2g mode and appeared at 1600 cm −1 . The prominent D band was ascribed to the presence of more number of sp 3 carbons from the phytochemicals of BLE . The intensity ratio (I D /I G ) of the D and G bands indicated the disorder ascribed to the vacancies, edge defects and amorphous nature of carbon species.…”

“…In the past few years, significant efforts have been directed toward the preparation of graphene-based nanocomposites such as graphene/Bi 2 O 3 [15], graphene/ SnO 2 [16], graphene/gold [17], graphene/Silver [18], graphene/Mn 3 O 4 [19], Ag 3 VO 4 /TiO 2 /graphene [20], TiO 2 /graphene [21,22], ZnO/graphene [23,24], graphene/cobalt [25], etc. The unique properties of these materials have been demonstrated for a variety of catalysts, super capacitors and fuel cell batteries.…”
