“…[18]. Briefly, a solution of KBH 4 (4 mmol) in H 2 O (1.5 mL) was slowly added dropwise to a vigorously stirred solution containing RhCl 3 •3H 2 O (1 mmol) and N(Oct) 4 Br (4 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (THF, 150 mL) at 30˚C in an Ar atmosphere.…”

“…It is desirable to avoid the additional purification process to reduce costs and energy use. We also have developed a wet method to prepare metal nanoparticle-loaded carbon black (CB), in which rhodium chloride was reduced by KBH 4 in presence of tetraoctylammonium bromide (N(Oct) 4 Br) as stabilizer [18]. It is noteworthy that the stabilizer was easily removed by washing [18], which can overcome the above-mentioned problem.…”

“…The face-centered cubic (FCC) structured Pt/CNT, Au/CNT, Pd/CNT, , calculated using the full width half maximum (FWHM) method at the Gaussian-fitted (220) peaks using Scherrer's equation. Earlier researchers successfullyprepared Pd/C[53], Pd-S-HCNF[54], Pd/CNT[55], Pd@WC-Mo2C/C[56], PdSb 0.15 /C[21], PdNi/C[57], PdAg/C[58], and PdAu/C[59] for AOR with mean crystallite sizes of 4.0 nm, 5.1 nm, 10.5 nm, 6.1 nm, 3.8 nm, 3.1 nm, 3.7 nm and 3.7 nm, respectively. The mean crystallite sizes of Pd/CNT and PdAg/CNT are further reduced to 2.0 nm and 2.3 nm in the current work by the aqueous phase reduction method without using surfactants.…”

“…The electrocatalytic properties of Pt 4 Co MDs were further assessed in 0.5 M KOH containing 0.5 M glycerol (Figure ), using Pt 3 Co NPs, Pt 5 Co NPs, and Pt black as the referenced materials. As depicted in Figure A, there are two anodic peaks obtained at 0.99 and 0.81 V in the forward and backward sweeps, respectively, which are well assigned to the oxidation of the surrounding chemisorbed glycerol molecules and the re‐oxidation of carbonaceous intermediates, respectively . Specifically, the E onset of Pt 4 Co MDs is 0.51 V for glycerol oxidation, which is more negative than those of Pt 3 Co NPs (0.58 V), Pt 5 Co NPs (0.57 V), and Pt black (0.58 V), indicating the significant enhancement in the GOR kinetics.…”
