Abstract:The Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) and Ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) are non-selective cation channels predominantly localized on capsaicin-sensitive sensory neurons; however both receptors have been described in non-neuronal tissues.
