Abstract: Methyl(10-phenylphenanthren-9-yl)sulfane (MPPS) is synthesized, characterized and explored as a new fluorescent molecule to probe micelle formation, microenvironment of BSA's tryptophan residues, and BSA-gemini surfactant (12-6-12,2Br−) interactions.
