Pretreatment with abscisic acid accompanied by sucrose improves callus survival after cryopreservation of hazel (Corylus avellana L.) by desiccation

Abstract: A simple cryopreservation method (desiccation) is examined on Corylus avellana L. callus in current study. The effect of abscisic acid (ABA) concentration, preculture length on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium containing ABA + 10% sucrose, and storage length in liquid nitrogen (LN) on callus survival rate were investigated.
