Prevalence and risk factors of hepatitis C virus infection in Armenia, 2021

Abstract: Background Liver damage caused by hepatitis C virus (HCV) is common, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Chronic HCV infection is among the leading causes of chronic liver disease, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Data on prevalence and risk factors of HCV infection are important for planning effective interventions to fight the virus.
