Abstract: Potato virus Y (PVY) causes major yield losses in potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) crops worldwide. Over the past few decades, two new PVY strains (PVYN−Wi/N:O and PVYNTN) have become prevalent and widely distributed worldwide.
