“…(14) Baseline alcohol use was defined by AUDIT-C score reported within 1 year before initiation of antiviral treatment and classified into three categories: nondrinking (score of 0), low-level drinking (score of 1-3 in men, 1-2 in women), and unhealthy drinking (score of 4-12 in men, 3-12 in women). (8,15) We also extracted all AUDIT-C scores recorded at least 3 months after treatment completion and categorized them as previously, in order to model changes in AUDIT-C scores over time.…”

Muchos profesionales de salud tienen dificultades para identificar y registrar los TUA en los pacientes, especialmente si todavía no están muy graves 47,82 .…”

“…There are key differences between Veterans and individuals in the general population, including the predominance of men receiving services, a greater prevalence of some psychiatric conditions (e.g., posttraumatic stress disorder, substance use disorders; depression; Hankin et al, 1999;Eisen et al, 2004;Seal et al, 2007;Williams et al, 2013;Wisco et al, 2014), and a higher prevalence of suicide (Blow et al, 2007;McCarthy et al, 2009). Given the high frequency of depression and substance use disorders in Veterans (Hankin et al, 1999;Eisen et al, 2004;Williams et al, 2013), and the high prevalence of these disorders in BDD as well (Gunstad and Phillips, 2003;Phillips et al, 2005), Veterans may also be at higher risk of BDD. Furthermore, given the high prevalence of suicidality in both Veterans and individuals with BDD, it is important to understand whether Veterans with BDD are at increased risk for suicide.…”
