Canine sera were tested by the indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) using six rickettsial antigens: Rickettsia bellii, Rickettsia amblyommii, Rickettsia rhipicephali, Rickettsia rickettsii, Rickettsia parkeri, and Rickettsia felis. While the first three Rickettsia species are known to occur in the study site, the latter three species are known to o… Show more

Das 30 amostras de soro colhidas de humanos, residentes em meio urbano do município de Quirinópolis, 50% (15/30) reagiram para algum tipo de antígeno riquétsial (Tabela 4).…”

“…Erythromycin was prescribed and no clinical abnormalities were observed in the following week. Patient's blood serum collected two weeks after onset of fever was tested for rickettsiosis through IFA for R. parkeri, R. rickettsii, R. felis, R. amblyommii, R. rhipicephali, and R. bellii antigens, as previously described 7,8 . Serum end-point titers to these six antigens were 2,048, 1,024, 64, 256, 512, and < 64, respectively.…”
