“…In this study, more number of cases (4 cases ,7%) of xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis were reported in a wide spectrum of age group between 20 to 80 years. Higher percentage of the case was also reported in the studies by Chandanwale et al, Awasthi et al and Ngairangbam S and Konjengbam R. [17][18][19] Only 1 case of the disease was reported in the studies by Basnet et al and Thakur et al . 4,15 One case of renal tuberculosis was seen in this study similar to that by Basnet et al 4 No case of renal tuberculosis were present in studies done by Suryawanshi et al and Bajaj et al 8,10 Only few cases of accidental discovery of isolated renal tuberculosis have been reported in the literature.…”

Hence histopathology helps as a useful learning tool for the pathologist to study histomorphological spectrum of diseases [8] .
