The number of patients with IAD at risk at the beginning of the period was estimated based on the total population with 18 years and older served by the HRUM Emergency Department, which according to the most recently available official epidemiological reports is 302 556 persons, 17‐19 and on the estimated prevalence (CI 95%) of RA (0.82 [0.59‐1.15]), PsA (0.58 [0.38‐0.87]), and ankylosing spondylitis (0.26 [0.14‐0.49]), in Spain EPISER study 20,21 .
