Preventing diseases in an urban scale

Abstract: A perfect setup to prevent epidemics is currently in affect throughout the world. Sanitary engineering, though not directly, is largely responsible for the annihilation of many diseases that used to be very problematic, such as typhus or cholera. However, these diseases are outdated and haven't been a problem for over a century due to the success of infrastructure such as water treatment and sewage.
