Our cities, neighborhoods, parks, beaches, and oceans have been contaminated with millions of tons of face masks every day since COVID-19 pandemic started. In this paper, we discuss a method to sanitize the used surgical face masks and head caps and also recycle them into useful products. It involves the collection of used surgical face masks and head caps, disinfecting them, shredding them and mixing them paper wastes and cement to make useful products like bricks, pots, etc. This study describes a lucid and affordable process to disinfect the PPE wastes and also to be utilized into fruitful outcomes. The study results show that the hazardous solid wastes can be used as useful products. The utilization shows the most significant opportunity for economic and has environmental benefits.
