“…at the end of surgery, for the prevention of POV in children who underwent tonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy. In this clinical trial, the antiemetic efficacy of ramosetron was more effective than granisetron for preventing POV during 0-24 h after anesthesia, and ramosetron was more effective than granisetron in decreasing POV during 24-48 h after anesthesia (7% versus 29%) [52]. A dose-ranging study comparing 3 doses (3, 6, and 12 mcg kg -1 ) of ramosetron with placebo, given i.v.…”

“…In another study, ramosetron 6 mcg kg -1 , compared with granisetron 40 mcg kg -1 , was effective for the prevention of POV during 24-48 h after tonsillectomy in 90 children (43 boys and 47 girls). The efficacy of ramosetron was the same as that of granisetron for the prophylaxis against POV during 0-24 h after anesthesia in this population [33].…”

“…For pediatric patients, clinically serious AEs, including excessive sedation and extrapyramidal symptoms, attributable to ramosetron were not observed in children [27][28][29][30] . The most common AE was not presented in these clinical studies [30][31][32][33].…”
