Abstract:Residue of some antibacterial drugs persist at a lower concentration for prolonged time in milk of cows, buffaloes and goats after treatment of bacterial infections by antibacterial drugs following repeated or single dosing. Repeated dosing of antimicrobial agent is required to maintain therapeutic concentration for desirable period to cure mastitis and other bacterial infections.
