Pricing research for automotive supply chains considering low-carbon consumer preferences under a dual policy

Abstract: PurposeThe promotion of new energy vehicles (EVs) is an effective way to achieve low carbon emission reduction. This paper aims to investigate the optimal pricing of automotive supply chain members in the context of dual policy implementation while considering consumers' low-carbon preferences.Design/methodology/approachThis article takes manufacturers, retailers and consumers in a main three-level supply chain as the research object. Stackelberg game theory is used as the theoretical guidance. A game model in… Show more

“…Consumer preferences play a crucial role in shaping the decisions made by businesses and governments (Çevikarslan, 2017), and the consideration of consumer preferences is widely recognized as an important aspect in the study of differentiated subsidy strategies (Zhou and Che, 2021). For instance, in the context of research on subsidies for green and low-carbon products, numerous studies have consistently highlighted that consumer green preferences are a pivotal factor to consider when designing different subsidy strategies (Yu et al ., 2016; Yi et al ., 2022; Liu et al ., 2022a). In addition, in sustainable economy research, consumer preferences for products associated with corporate social responsibility enable the government to design more targeted subsidy policies (Liu et al ., 2022c).…”

“…Deep learning is a new research field within machine learning, and it is widely used for forecasting in the supply chain field, such as in production prediction [ 4 ], price prediction [ 5 ], demand prediction, and so on. Liu et al [ 6 ] studied the optimal pricing problem encountered by automotive supply chain members in the context of consumer low-carbon preferences and policy implementation backgrounds. Prediction is the basis of pricing.…”
