Primary and multisensory cortical activity is correlated with audiovisual percepts

Abstract: Incongruent auditory and visual stimuli can elicit audiovisual illusions such as the McGurk effect where visual /ka/ and auditory /pa/ fuse into another percept such as/ta/.
