Abstract:Neuroendocrine tumors are typically low-malignancy growths arising from neuroectodermal cells of neural crest origin. Neuroendocrine carcinoma, on the other hand, represents a high-malignancy form of these tumors. While rare in the liver, they often indicate metastasis when present.
