Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia: Novel Insights into Pathophysiology and Disease Management

Abstract: Immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune disorder defined by a significantly reduced number of platelets in blood circulation. Due to low levels of platelets, ITP is associated with frequent bruising and bleeding.
