“…These regions are home to Peru's 3 endemic primates: the 'Vulnerable' Andean night monkey Aotus miconax, the 'Critically Endangered' Andean titi monkey Calicebus oenanthe, and the 'Critically Endangered' yellow-tailed woolly monkey Oreonax flavicauda (classification according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature [IUCN]). The latter has been listed by the International Primatological Society (IPS) as one of the world's 25 most threatened primate species 3 times since 2006 (Mittermeier et al , 2007(Mittermeier et al , 2009.
