Strigamia maritima (Leach, 1817) (Chilopoda, Geophilomorpha, Linotaeniidae) and Thalassisobates
littoralis (Silvestri, 1903) (Diplopoda, Julida, Nemasomatidae), two species of myriapods
discovered on the rocky coast of Portugal. Strigamia maritima (Leach, 1817) and Thalassisobates littoralis
(Silvestri, 1903) were discovered in 2018 on a rocky foreshore in Colares (Municipality of Sintra,
Lisbon Region, Portugal), first records of these species in Portugal. Other continental foreshore
arthropods are also mentioned.
