Printed inductors for RFID tags

Abstract: The article describes various options of receiving printing inductors for passive RFID tags which work at frequency 13.56 MHz. Different variants of producing inductors using the technology of screen printing with different materials of the conductive paste and the number of layers deposited by a variety of substrate materials were investigated. Assessments of the impact of the factors stated above on electrical parameters of the researched samples were made. After the analysis of measurement data of inductanc… Show more

“…Recently, printing techniques were utilized in sensors technology, thus introducing new application areas in portable and flexible systems. Printed technologies have already been successfully used for the fabrication of several devices such as electrochemical-chemical sensors [4][5][6][7][8][9], biosensors [10][11][12], antennas [13][14][15][16][17][18], passive components [19], batteries [20][21][22][23] etc. One of the most versatile printing technologies is screen printing, which offers the possibility of producing a wide range of layer thickness by adjusting several fabrication parameters, such as ink composition, mesh screen ruling, stencil thickness, squeegee angle and printing speed-pressure.…”
