The sustainable development goals (SDGs) were established by the United Nations as an international call to eradicate poverty, safeguard the environment, and guarantee that everyone lives in peace and prosperity by 2030. The SDGs aim to balance growth and sustainability in three dimensions: social, economic and environmental. However, in the post-pandemic era, when resources for public development policies are scarce, nations face the problem of prioritizing which SDGs to pursue. A lack of agreement is one of the determinants of low performance levels of the SDGs, and multicriteria decision analysis tools can help in this task, which is especially relevant in developing countries that are falling behind in achieving the SDGs. To test the feasibility and appropriateness of one of these tools, the Fuzzy Logarithm Methodology of Additive Weights, we apply it to prioritize the SDGs in the Dominican Republic, to see if the priorities established are consistent. Seventeen experts were surveyed, and the main result was that Decent work and economic growth was the most important goal for the country. Our findings, consistent with the literature, show the path to similar applications in other developing countries to enhance performance levels in the achievement of the SDGs.

In recent times, concerns regarding crop and livestock have gained a new dimension as people are becoming increasingly sensitive to health and environmental issues. Conventional farming methods have become a topic of contention due to their potential to give rise to environmental and health-related problems. Consequently, a growing number of producers and consumers have started to place emphasis on organic crop and livestock practices. In this study, the provinces of Türkiye have been assessed and ranked in terms of their performance in organic crop, livestock, and beekeeping for the 2019-2022 period. This evaluation has been conducted utilizing TOPSIS which is a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) method. The criteria considered for crop production encompassed "number of farmers", "total production area (ha)", and "production quantity (tons)". For livestock, criteria such as "number of farmers", "number of animals", "meat production (tons)", milk production (tons)", and "number of eggs (units)" were considered. Finally, organic beekeeping activities were assessed based on "number of farmers", "number of hives", and "production quantity (tons)". In conclusion, Aydın province consistently ranked first in organic farming between 2019 and 2022. In organic livestock farming, Çanakkale province demonstrated stability by maintaining a position within the top three across all years. Finally, according to organic beekeeping data, Van province achieved the first place in 2019 and secured the second place in subsequent years, indicating a notable performance.

Introduction/purpose: The paper presents the multi-criteria Fuzzy DIBR-Fuzzy DIBR II-EWAA-BM-DEXi-Fuzzy LMAW model for choosing a location for crossing water obstacles by fording in a defense operation. After the identification of the criteria by experts in this field, the mentioned model was applied and the optimal point was determined. In order to test the consistency of the results and the validity of the model, experts were consulted again, and the sensitivity analysis and the comparative analysis were performed. Methods: The Fuzzy DIBR and Fuzzy DIBR II methods were used to determine the weighting coefficients of the identified criteria, while the aggregation of the expert opinions and the obtained values was performed using the EWAA and BM operators. To select the optimal location, the Fuzzy LMAW method was applied, while the linguistic descriptors were determined using the DEXi decision support system. Results: The proposed methodology made it possible to identify all the criteria that determine the choice of a location and the choice of the optimal point for crossing a water obstacle in a defense operation. The testing of the model by experts, the analysis of the sensitivity of the output results to changes in the weights of the criteria and the comparison of the obtained results with the results of other methods indicated the fact that the model is valid and that it gives consistent results. Conclusion: It was concluded that the multi-criteria model provides the necessary help to decision makers in conditions of imprecise and unspecified information and that it is applicable in real situations. Also, the proposed model takes into consideration all the aspects that must be considered when making such a complex decision and helps less experienced officers in the decision-making process, reducing the possibility of errors, which can result in human casualties. Finally, directions for further research in the field of overcoming water obstacles and multicriteria decision making are suggested.
