Prioritizing, teaching, and promoting geropsychology to generalists: Commentary on foundational geropsychology competencies.

Abstract: We are pleased for the opportunity to offer commentary on this important series of papers that elaborate on Foundational Geropsychology Competencies framework for psychologists who are not geropsychology specialists. We begin with a brief comparison between the Foundational Geropsychology Competencies and the Age Friendly Healthcare Systems frameworks and then offer a few thoughts for moving this important body of work to next steps.
