“…On the basis of the data of performed investigations, we formulate recommendations aimed at increasing the operation reliability of R27-300, R29-300, AL21, and other engines and Angara-type turboexhausters. The application of computers opened a new direction connected with the possibility of numerical simulation of fatigue tests [5,9] by using Markov processes performed to determine the parameters of distributions for various sample sizes. The accumulated results were used to determine the required number of tests for given probabilities of fracture in the course of periodic fatigue tests.…”

“…2. Dependences of the relative fretting-fatigue limit σ a fr on contact pressure p for a steel-steel couple (ÉI961) tempered at 580°C (1-3) and a VT8-VT8-alloy couple (4-6): (1, 4) specimens preliminarily damaged by fretting corrosion; (2,5) specimens in the intact state; (3,6) workpieces tested for fretting fatigue. For compressor blades, it is recommended to apply additional procedures of thermal treatment whose efficiency proves to be much higher (by at least 30%) than the efficiency of traditional methods of surface hardening.…”
