Probing model-independent limits on W + W γ triple gauge boson vertex at the LHeC and the FCC-he

Abstract: We study the cross-section of production of a single W − boson in association with a neutrino through the process e − p → e − γ * p → ν e W − p. Additionally, we obtain the anomalous couplings ∆κ γ and λ γ of the W + W − γ vertex at the Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC) and the Future Circular Collider Hadron-Electron (FCC-he). The impact of the polarized beam due to the electron is also analyzed. Our best limits for ∆κ γ and λ γ at the 95% C.L. are: ∆κ γ = ±0.0017, λ γ = ±0.0053 (unpolarized electron beam… Show more

“…In the direct Z/γ production process, the anomalous WWZ and WWγ couplings can be separately measured without being influenced by their interference [465,466]. In the direct W production process, both the deviation in the signal cross-section and the kinematic distributions can effectively constrain the WWγ aTGC, while anomalous WWZ contribution in this channel is insensitive as a result of the suppression due to the Z boson mass [467][468][469].…”

“…When compared with the current LHC (blue and green) and LEP collider (red) bounds, the LHeC has the potential to significantly improve the constraints, in particular, those imposed on the Δκ γ parameter. The polarised electron beam is found to improve the aTGC measurement [ 466,469]. In consideration of the realistic analysis at detector level, one can expect 2-3 ab −1 of integrated luminosity to achieve the same results [467].…”
