“…As the intermolecular interaction (PBzMA-PEO) was not any stronger than that between the same PBzMA molecules or the same PEO molecules, no shifting of the functional groups could be expected. This observation of a lack of any specific interactions is similar to the widely studied PEO-PMMA blend system on which Martuscelli et al 22 performed an IR study and concluded that inter-MISCIBILITY IN PEO/PBZMA molecular interactions between molecules of PEO and PMMA in blends are very weak and their miscibility depends only "physical" van der Waals interactions and that specific interactions in PEO-PMMA are nonexistent. This is also true in the PEO/PBzMA blend system.…”
