Enhancing the quality of student competencies effectively cannot be separated from the development of learning resources through technological innovation. In-teractive multimedia is an innovative learning resource that can be integrated with Project-Based Learning, which is a solution to the problems that occur for 2D Animation Making. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive multime-dia and assess the effectiveness of its application in Project-Based Learning (PjBL) for 2D animation making. The researchers applied the Research and De-velopment method using the 4D model. This study was conducted at the Univer-sitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo, with a total of 66 students of Information Tech-nology Education. Based on the results of the study, validation by material and media experts showed that interactive multimedia learning media is excellent and feasible to use. The effectiveness of the application of interactive multimedia in PjBL has a significant positive effect on learning achievement for making 2D an-imations.

The creative problem solving (CPS) based on genetic mutation module provides students with an opportunity to identify problems, design a problem-solving plan, choose the right path, and effectively evaluate the solution. This research aims to examine the effectiveness of CPS-based genetic mutation module to improve problem-solving skills in undergraduate students of biological education. Furthermore, the CPS module was developed on the basis of research and development (R&D) according to the Borg and Gall method and presented as a mutation module for genetic material. A group pre-test and post-test design was applied by undergraduate students of biological education at the university of Sebelas Maret in Surakarta using random sampling techniques. A total of 17 students from 5th semester were accepted as participants and treated for pre-test and post-test. The instruments used for the collection of data was an essay test design based on Polya's indicators of problem-solving skills. In addition, this module was considered as an advantage in using large database storage technologies such as NCBI and ExPASy in order to solve the problem-solving process. The application of the module has been shown to be effective in improving students' problem solving skills from a very low to a moderately high level.

Pengukuran kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan soal essay memungkinkan guru untuk melihat kualitas pengerjaan siswa, alih-alih hanya melihat jawaban akhir siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa SMA kelas XI IPA yang dihadapkan pada soal essay. Aspek pemecahan masalah fisika yang diukur meliputi memahami masalah, mengorganisasi pengetahuan, menjalankan rencana penyelesaian, dan mengevaluasi solusi. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 96 siswa SMA. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika pada kategori sedang dengan rata-rata 0,26 dan standar deviasi 0,99. Rentang kemampuan siswa berada pada -1,76 ≤ θ ≤ 3,23. Persentase ketercapaian aspek kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika pada aspek memahami masalah sebesar 53,13%, mengorganisasi pengetahuan sebesar 24,65%, menjalankan rencana penyelesaian sebesar 42,01% dan mengevaluasi solusi sebesar 23,26%.
