“…C-reactive protein rises in response to inflammation/cell injury PAGE 383 and various diseases by pathogens. Increasing in the CRP level is due to cell-membrane-binding capability, which occurs through its attachment to the phosphocholine in exposed cell membranes during cell injury, and the phosphocholine in the polysaccharides of pathogens present in the 6,7 infections.
