Abstract

Description of the Summer Internship Program Since its establishment in 1943, the US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) has facilitated the development of innovative technologies that improve combat casualty care. The Summer Undergraduate Internship Program was created to expose students interested in biomedical research to the medical challenges that are addressed by scientific investigators affiliated with the Department of Defense (DoD).
