Product properties and histostructure of young sheepskin of the Dorper Breed

Abstract: The aim of the study is to analyze the commodity properties of sheepskin and the histostructure of the skin of rams of Kalmyk fat tail breed and crossbreeds (1/2 Kalmyk fat tail × 1/2 Dorper). The uterus of group I was covered with sheep of the Kalmyk fat tail breed, and the ewes of group II with sheep of the Dorper breed (experimental group). The study revealed, the mass of paired sheepskins of young group I was greater than that of peers of group II by 1.0 kg or 34.5 % (P> 0.999). A large live weight affe… Show more

“…Many scholars contend that crossbreeding breeds of sheep with diverse productivity orientations leads to improved adaptive traits and productivity in offspring. Furthermore, such hybrids possess an extensive hereditary potential for economically valuable attributes and adaptive capacities (Pogodaev et al, 2020(Pogodaev et al, , 2021aCloete et al, 2000).…”

“…A significant influence on the formation of histological features of the skin is also due to genetic factors. Minor skin morphogenesis in the postnatal period is associated with the influence of various paratypical factors [11,12]. Sheepskins are an important technological raw material as well [13].…”
