Production and Characterization of Β-Galactosidase Enzyme in the Plant Extract From (Ziziphus Spina-Christi) and Its Application in Milk

Abstract: In the development of a medicinal plant, β-galactosidase (EC 3.2.1.23) is essential (Ziziphus spina-christi). The enzyme activity was measured by its ability to hydrolyze the substrate 2-nitrophenyl β-D-galactopyranoside (ONPG). The maximum enzyme activity was at 50 ° C and at pH 5.5. The enzyme's Km and Vmax values were 3.65 mM and 0.18 μmol / min, respectively. HgCl2 and KCN completely inhibit the activities of β-galactosidase (Ziziphus spina-christi). Lactose in milk was reduced by 38.5 and 70 percent by β-… Show more

“…The non-decrease level of (CHOL, HDL, and LDL) in the current study compared with the latter studies might be due to short period and low dose intake as well as environmental status for the sample [22]. The opposite our findings to the current study as ingesting different Spirulina concentrations resulted in significant decreases in total cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL and significant increase in HDL at 5 and 10% of Spirulina in high fat diet comparing to the normal fed rats [23]. These results may show stronger evidence that environmental factors such as diet high in fat may show better results in lowering lipids profile than using Spirulina with healthy samples.…”

The effect of chemical," organic and biological fertilization and the overlap between them on the average fruit weight (g) of date palm Khastawi .cv the building of fruits and seeds, maintains cellular pressure, and regulates the permeability of cell membranes in the tissues of the fruit, which facilitates the transfer of water to it and maintains its vitality ( 16) and (17). Thus, the chances of its falling are reduced.…”
