Abstract:Sewage sludge-based porous materials were prepared through an integrated and energy-saving procedure that combines chemical activation with an alkali (NaOH or K2CO3) and physical activation with CO2 in a single step. The study was conducted in a wide temperature range (600–1000 °C), using higher temperatures than those commonly used. From the standpoint of textural properties, the impregnation results in a decrease in the optimum activation temperature: 800 °C for untreated samples, and 600–700 °C for impregna… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
