Abstract:Landslides often occur in the study area as a continuation of the erosion process on very thick soil from a series of volcanic ash deposition during the Tertiary and Quaternary periods. Rapid land cover changes from agricultural land into settlement increase runoff significantly causing accelerated soil erosion.
