Abstract:Constipation is one of the chronic complications of diabetes and the most common gastrointestinal symptom of diabetes patients. Constipation in diabetes is the result of multiple factors, such as the damage of intestinal mucosal epithelial cells caused by elevated blood sugar, the reduction of colorectal sensitivity, and colorectal autonomic neuropathy.
