Most H7N9 influenza patients exhibit general influenza-like symptoms, including fever and cough, and more than half of the infections typically progress to severe pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and multi-organ failure 8, 11, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30–38 .
