The article presents the dynamics of the prevalence of bovine viral diarrhoea virus (BVDV) in livestock enterprises of the Ural region in the period 2018-2023. Retrospective and operational analysis of monitoring data showed that the epizootic situation was consistently tense. The share of unfavourable livestock enterprises ranged from 18.2% to 33.3%. The cumulative infection rate in different age groups of cattle ranged from 2.3% to 23.3%. Clinical symptoms of acute course of BVDV-infection in examined cattle were registered in 10.9% of cases; persistent form of BVDV-infection - in 16.5% of cases; subclinical course of BVDV-infection and latent form - in 73.6% of cases. Phylogenetic analysis of BVDV isolates obtained from animal biosamples showed that 81.8% of isolates belong to the Cp-biotype of BVDV, 18.2% of isolates - to the Ncpbiotype of BVDV. It has been established that the intensity of pathogen eradication decreases in livestock enterprises when the regulations of specific prophylaxis are violated, as evidenced by the increase in the number of animals carrying BVDV by 4%; calves with diseases caused by BVDV infection - by 2.5%; cows and heifers with reproductive losses - by 5.7%.

The article presents data showing the effectiveness of the use of anti-mastitis vaccine in breeding farms of the Sverdlovsk region, based on the study of the level of diagnosed mastitis and the indicator of somatic cells in milk. Studies have shown that the use of animal immunization against mastitis has a positive effect, so 6 months after the first vaccination of animals in the breeding reproducer and plant, the number of detected mastitis decreased by 16,6% and 7,3%, respectively, and the level of somatic cells in the milk of highly productive cows by 26,5% and 10,7%, respectively. 12 months after the first vaccination scheme was applied, the total number of animals with signs of mastitis in the breeding reproducer and plant was 13,3% and 7,5%, respectively. The level of somatic cells in the nucleus amounted to 290 thousand. /ml., and the stud farm of 450 thousand/ml 24 months after first use of vaccination schemes, the level of mastitis was identified at 6,0% and 5,7% of the studied population of high yielding cows breeding farm and breeding farm, respectively. The average number of somatic cells found in milk of animals of a farm decreased by 80 thousand/ml, the farm – to 79 thousand/ml, in comparison with the previous study period. The study revealed a significant decrease in diagnosed mastitis in animals after 32 months due to the use of the STARTVAK antimastitic vaccine, the total number of diseases in the breeding reproducer decreased by 30,6% compared to the period of the beginning of vaccination, and in the breeding plant – by 26,2%. As a result, the dynamics of reduction of subclinical and clinical mastitis in the breeder compared to the period at the time of immunization was 19,5% and 11,1%, respectively. And in the stud farm, the level of subclinical and clinical mastitis decreased by 16,9% and 9,0%, respectively. The number of somatic cells in the milk of cows contained in the breeding reproducer was 152 thousand/ml, which is 83,9% lower compared to the initial study period. The level of somatic cells in the studied samples of milk of animals kept in the breeding plant was 263 thousand/ml, which is 62,2% lower than this indicator before the application of the animal vaccination program against mastitis.

Воспалительные заболевания молочной железы и репродуктивного тракта крупного рогатого скота наносят наибольший экономический ущерб молочному животноводству. Секвенирование нуклеотидных последовательностей гена 16S rRNA значительно расширило знание о бактериальных сообществах (микробиомах) и позволило выявить бактерии, о существовании которых ранее не было известно, поскольку их не удается культивировать in vitro. В представленной работе впервые показаны взаимосвязи между микробиотой репродуктивного тракта и молочной железы коров (Bos taurus) при развитии воспалительных заболеваний и выявлены новые этиологически значимые патогены. Нашей целью было определение состава микробиоты репродуктивного тракта и молочной железы коров при воспалении и сравнение полученных бактериальных профилей для обнаружения общей этиологии таких патологий. Для исследования на каждом из сельскохозяйственных предприятий, расположенных в пяти районах Свердловской области, сформировали 4 экспериментальных группы: 1-я -животные без признаков воспаления молочной железы и репродуктивного тракта (З); 2-я -животные с признаками воспаления молочной железы, но без признаков воспаления репродуктивного тракта (М); 3-я -животные с признаками воспаления репродуктивного тракта, но без признаков воспаления молочной железы (Э); 4-я -животные с признаками воспаления молочной железы и репродуктивного тракта (ЭМ). От каждой коровы в группах получали образцы биологического материала (секрет молочной железы, цервикальные смывы), который использовали для метагеномного анализа состава бактериальных сообществ. Анализ последовательностей вариабельных участков гена 16S rRNA показал, что подавляющее большинство идентифицированных операционных таксономических единиц (operational taxonomic units, ОТU) принадлежат домену Bacteria, остальные -филуму Euryarchaeota домена Archaea (0,38 % в пробах секрета молочной железы, 0,44 % -в цервикальных смывах). В образцах секрета молочной железы идентифицированы представители 19 бактериальных филумов, в том числе 43 класса, 85 порядков, 165 семейств и 484 рода. Половину бактериальных ОТU составлял филум Firmicutes (680 ОТU, 51,7 %), второй и третий по численности филумы -Actinobacteria и Bacteroidetes (соответственно 14,5 % и 11,3 %). В цервикальных смывах обнаружены представители 22 бактериальных филумов, в их числе 50 классов, 93 порядка, 172 семейства и 365 родов. Преобладающим бактериальным филумом оказался Firmicutes (876 ОТU, 55,3 %), вторым и третьим по численности -филумы Bacteroidetes и Actinobacteria (соответственно 13,3 % и 11,6 %). Секвенирование вариабельных участков гена 16S rRNA позволило установить наличие бактерий класса Clostridia и рода Facklamia, которые мы не обнаружили ранее, исследуя образцы с помощью культуральных методов. Этим подтверждается клиническое значение метагеномного секвенирования для уточнения состава этиологических агентов в случае некультивируемых или трудно культивируемых бактерий.
