Abstract:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the primary liver cancer type, often seen in individuals with chronic liver disease. Once the patient progresses to the cirrhotic stage, the annual incidence of HCC is approximately 2%-4%. As it exceeds the minimum threshold of 1.0%-1.5% per year, HCC screening every 6 months through abdominal ultrasound is indicated in the cirrhotic population.
