This study was motivated by the difficulty of lecturer in inviting and motivating students to be actively involved in English Speaking class, students tend to be passive. There are some factors that might block them from speaking English in class. Many researches revealed that the main problem is psychological factor. Therefore, this study aimed at providing an insight and alternative program of students’ active learning that might be used and implemented by EFL lecturer, especially in English Speaking class. This study used Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE (analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate) design. There were 53 students of higher education involved as research sample. They were selected using total sampling technique. The instrument used in this research were observation sheet and interview. the researchers could find that this collaborative project-based learning approach could facilitate the students to be actively involved in learning as well as give possitive impact to the students’ engagement in learning. They were given space to shout out their ideas, views, and voices comfortably. Students also considered that this approach was not only fun to do but also accustomed them to work together in group to produce something, be responsible, and think critically and creatively in solving the problems.

Penerapan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) merupakan salah satu program prioritas pada Kurikulum Merdeka (2022). Dengan perkembangan zaman serta percepatan digitalisasi akibat pandemi, saat ini penerapan model PjBL dapat dikombinasikan dengan Blended Learning sehingga tercipta model Project Based Blended Learning (PjB2L). Sekarang cukup banyak penelitian yang mengungkapkan tentang keberhasilan penerapan model PjB2L untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk menjabarkan hasil telaah secara teoritis tentang ragam penerapan model PjB2L diberbagai level studi, dimulai dari Sekolah Dasar hingga Perguruan Tinggi. Studi ini merupakah penelitian dengan metode kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka yang melibatkan berbagai literatur. Berdasarkan hasil kajian pustaka dalam tulisan ini didapat simpulan bahwa penerapan model PjB2L mayoritas dinyatakan berhasil dan memberi dampak positif pada perbaikan hasil belajar. Adapun faktor-faktor yang perlu diperhatikan diantaranya adalah:(1) modifikasi fase-fase model PjBL dan blended learning ke dalam PjB2L, fase yang diungkapkan dalam tulisan ini memuat dua jenis yakni sebelas fase dan enam fase, (2) karakteristik peserta didik yang akan terlibat dalam penerapan model PjB2L, yang bisa saja melibatkan siswa SD, SMP, SMA, mahasiswa, hingga para guru sebagai pesertanya, kemudian faktor terakhir, (3) pemilihan platform yang akan digunakan dalam blended learning, sehingga PjB2L sukses diterapkan dan memberi dampak positif dalam pembelajaran.

This study aims to produce a fantasy make-up electronic book product by applying a collaborative project-based learning model in the Cosmetology Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, UNIMED. The development of the fantasy make-up electronic book is a collaboration product between lecturers and student groups that can be useful in the Hairdressing and Fantasy Makeup courses. The research method used in this study is Research and Development using the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 (five) steps or development phases including: (A) analysis, (D) design, (D) development, (I) mplementation ,and (E)value. Data collection was carried out through expert tests, including tests of media experts, design experts and material experts. After evaluating from the experts, it was followed by testing on the respondents, namely students of the cosmetology study program through individual tests (one to one), small group tests and field tests.
